Iwagana is an interesting sort of female. She was kidnapped at a young age by youkai to become their goddess of wisdom. Doing so may have cost her an eye and a leg, but she now has a grand amount of wisdom. Not to mention she is revered by all the demons, youkai, ghosts, and so on. She lives her life, being a mediator between conflicts, and helping these beings understand humanity.
Thanks to his family being psychopaths, Kuroko eats some youkai flesh and has been granted two abilities immortality, from trauma at least, and some limited foresight. One day the two meet and learn each other's secrets, and then some time passes, and they are not the dating team going around solving the problems of the youkai and dealing with unwanted mysteries and stuff.
Season 1 Episode 2
Was that a lie?
So I am trying to figure out what exactly Iwagana is doing here. I mean, it seems like she might be lying, or is she actually telling the truth. It is hard to say, I mean, the whole dumpster baby explanation seems like it is a plausible thing. However, it looks like she is just trying to get this giant snake to leave her alone. I mean, it was pretty exhausting for the guardian to get a reasonably conclusive answer and then decide the answer is not good enough. We just had to add one more detail each and every time. Well, I guess the stupid thing eventually shut up that was nice. I wonder how many more of these we will get to see.
Season 1 Episode 4
Involve the EX
Cause why not have some needed twist that will really add no value to the show as a whole. I mean, I guess this is the whole Iwagana being jealous and cute thing, but is that really something that we want to waste too much time on. This seems a little forced. However, I guess it might be useful for resolving why said girlfriend left Kuroku in the first place.
Season 1 Episode 6
People be crazy
Hmm, well, I guess it takes all kinds to make the world go round. However, just once could it not be a rich family that does all the evil? Why not have a poor family do all the evil in an attempt to get rich. That would be a nice new twist int he area. However, I guess that would mean that we would fall outside of the comfort zone. Still, it is kind of interesting how no one else tried for so long.
I mean, you would think that someone who would want to have that kind of wrath and power would never stop trying to get that stuff. Granted, the trials did start back up, but it took a while. Kind fo sad though that the one who has the power is so... blah about it. I mean, why not use it a bit more. You could at least live a comfortable life. Though I guess killing yourself over and over and over again might be a bit of a stretch.
Season 1 Episode 8
There is another
Well, that was... I guess expected. I mean, I kind of figured that this was the result of someone who was a fan of Nanase but turns out there is more to it than that. Still, I guess that is okay, and it makes sense. I mean, why not have someone else who clearly wants something from their power coming onto the scene and making there be troubles. Oh well, at least there is an established villain. The serious would get kind of stale if all they did was go from one random incident to another. Actually, having someone to work against will make for much better storytelling.
Season 1 Episode 12
Bye Bye EX
I am glad that they are not making the girlfriend a permanent person on the team. I was kind of worried about that. I mean, it would be kind of annoying to have to watch her freak out every time a cute harmless like youkai appears and surprises her. Plus, it feels like the comic relief of Iwagan would get kind of stale after a while. So it is for the best, it would be nice if they kept the team small and went from there. Granted, bumping into her again would not be so bad. She just rolls her eyes and says hello, and that would be that.
