Lost Song
I will rate this after I am done with other anime and stuff
I have yet to write this... because I am lazy or something
Rin and Al were just normal country bumpkin's who lived with their grandfather and older sister. Just your average kids sheltered from the world. Al saw himself as an inventor, and Rin enjoyed singing. Both had dreams where they would both one day go to the capital. Well, one day their village is attacked and destroyed, during a mistral hunt, so they have to go now. So they set off, I would say doing their best to make sure that they do not get caught by the minstrel hunters, but this is anime so come on.
Finis is a happy-go-lucky songstress in the Capital. She possesses a unique power, a nice body, and voice. Oh, and she has the ability to heal people and conjure fire with her songs. As such she is kept up there like a jewel protected from the world, using her songs to heal the soldiers as they go off into battle.
Season 1 Episode 3
No Common Sense
Ugh, you know it is tough to watch this anime from time to time. Well maybe not exclusively this anime, but anime in general. The lack of the ability to use common sense seems to be this glorious gift that people have. I mean geez, Al was not even hurt that badly, and we need to reveal who we are to everyone and make sure that everyone knows who we are because of a tiny scratch that Al got. Well whatever, I am not sure why anime characters always do this. They are well aware of why people are tracking them down, and they still engage in that kind of activity as if they cannot control it. Maybe a lot of people are drug addicts or something.
Season 1 Episode 5
The Plague of Idiocy
I guess that spoiled people not thinking very far ahead is a common theme/fact in the world but still, why do people think that they can use up other people? I mean really, this gets annoying every single time some prince spends all his money and then expects the world to fear him or respect him or something. I mean this is annoying, how exactly does the prince think he is going to rule? I mean I guess the tales of the female who conjures fire with her songs is a story to be told but still. Oh well, I think it would not be an anime without some idiotic characters who are not going to make good decisions no matter how little logic and analysis is required.
Season 1 Episode 9
I Think I Figure It Out
Hmm well, this is one of those episodes that upon reflection I am can see what was going on. I have to admit it just seemed like lazy writing the way some of the stuff did not line up. However, I am pretty sure that Finis's story is the first iteration for Finis, and Rin's story is the final iteration for Finis. So I guess this was well planned. After all, a lot of events did not line up, and I think an obvious couple of hints were made given out as well. Still, I guess that goes to show you that people can write fascinating stories if they want too. Well, I think that makes up for the whole circular encounter thing.
Well not really, I mean it is one thing to say that the encounters are similar; however, it is lazy writing to say that everyone is just stuck in a loop. It is annoying watching every time Finis meets an old character there is only a different mark or symbol. I guess that is what it meant to be stuck on the one continent. Oh well, I guess this female who is depressed about having been tricked into murdering her "love" makes for a good villain.
Season 1 Episode 11
Horses to Planes
I guess I have to give credit where credit is due. Sometimes you just have to give up some points. Like how people are able to go from riding horses, which run on two do planes, to flying small planes, in one night. I mean I guess that there was not a lot of time beforehand, but you know it is a bit of a stretch to think that a bunch of people who are not all that smart and have never encountered flight before could learn to fly a plane overnight. Oh well, it made for a much more interesting final fight right?
