Hachiman is a pretty pessimistic guy. He has pretty much only himself. After he is assigned a paper reflecting on youth. Which he pretty much just uses as an excuse to vent his frustration at the world. His teacher decides to punish him by making him write the paper again and join a club.

Turns out the club is run by a the ice queen of the school. While she is just as negative, she also believes it is her job to make sure everyone can benefit from how great she is. So she runs the service club. A club that is dedicated to helping out the students who need help on... whatever. Now he is forced to engage in a club he has no interest in... with no apparent threat to stay in the club. How will this affect Hachiman's otherwise dull life?
