In North Ambria State, it is cold, the people are poor, and the government is corrupt. The Northern Jeagers provide the safest income to help the nation feed itself. Lavian is the granddaughter of one of the heroes who helped to restabilize North Ambria after the Salt Pale incident. North Ambria now fears for its sovereignty as the Erebonian Empire has just annexed Crossbell state. Lavian will now embark on a mission to protect her home for Erebonia's new hero, the Ashen Chevalier.

So far it things are going good
Well, so far, things are going okay. The games play very much like an anime, so it is not too hard to see why this format translates so well into an anime. They are hitting all the high notes. You know, having cameos, going to the various cities, showing off landmarks that you would see in the game, even putting the game's music in it. Yes, the anime is progressing very well. I can see why they would make this into an anime and not a game.
The problem with this series is how they handle the initial story. This one would not have been an easy sell. In most first games, you get to go around the country, see the sights, and do missions. Sadly, that would not work with this game since these guys are spies. If anything, it feels weird that they are helping out and saving people. Not to mention the fact there is not much in the way of doing intelligence work. Oh well, I guess it is still early, but we shall see how this series plays out.
Season 1 Episode 5
End of game one
This would be the end of the first game if this was a game. I am sure that instead of just doing a quick couple second scene at each of the major cities there would have been a bit more to those areas. You would probably have to find quests or something. Well not matter it is interesting to see this series so far. This has a pretty typical ending for the game. Since there is an overall objective meeting, Rean would be a normal conclusion to the first game. Granted, Lavi is a bit crazy.
I mean, she has bought into the idea that Erebonia actually needs Rean to crush North Ambria. Oh well, I guess that is to be expected given her heritage and all. Right now, this does not play out for me. That was a pretty big switch to flip, and then she was all in on the killing him thing. Well, whatever. I am glad we are getting to the end of the first game. Now, we can get into the part that is mentioned in Trails of Cold Steel IV.
