On the planet earth there are two species of human. Normal humans, who get to be called human, and Ghouls. Ghouls soul source of nutrition are human beings. That is the only thing that Ghouls can eat. Knowing this humanity lives in fear of being eaten. For your average college student Kanekai this fear came to life. When a girl he was dating turned out to be a Ghoul who decided to make him her next meal. However, a twist of fate saved him from being a meal just before he died.

Kanekai wakes up in a hospital. Something is strange, his injuries were severe, how is he alive? Well turns out the ghoul who tried to eat him became an organ donor for him. The side-effect of this is that Kanekai became a ghoul in the process. Now he has to change his entire life so he will not be hunted down by the doves as well as adjusting to his new life.
