When I want this anime, I feel like someone took a cookie cutter and cut out the entire setting. They took the nerd boy cutter and said... well lets give him a camera so he is not as much of a nerd as one would expect. Then for some reason lets add a bunch of hot girls who just happen to like him and want to be with him. Then the author stood back and thought about how incredibly similar to every harem anime out there this anime was. So he added Cat ears.

Sorry but our lead character could not get any more cookie cutter if I wanted him to be. I mean we have a nerdy, glass-wearing, socially-inept guy here. I have seen him a million times before in most any anime that involves one guy with lots and lots of girls around him. I mean really when I think about it the most unique thing about him is the fact that he is part of the AV club. Which is not all that unique, but unique to this particular genre, for me anyway. Otherwise he is everything you would expect from a guy in a harem anime. Then there are all the females who surround him.

For these, I am sure the author said that he did not want any wimp girls around the main character. So he took the badass cutter and reshapped it. He kept the typical one, you know long black hair, flat, just as socially-inept as the lead, but super badass. Then he took your typical main love interest and spliced her in with the badass character. You know the one, the one who gets pissed off WAY too easily for any reason at all no matter how much her fault it is. Seriously, why do girls get pissed off a guys seeing them naked when they are running around. Then finally there is the innocent one. I think a coin was flipped to decide this one. However, in the end she gained a huge rack and god forbid a sex drive. Then just to justify her sex drive the author gave her cat ears and called her an alien. Oh right the one unique thing this anime.

Well not so unique, I think we called this Tenchi Muyo back in the 90s. Only that anime was actually really good and interesting. I guess it did not steal from Tenchi because all the girls around him were primarily human. Wow, so lets make all her misunderstandings explainable through her being an alien. Not that an anime has never done that before right? Go ahead I dare you to name 10.

So overall, if you want to see a harem anime, you get to see one. I mean this is as standard harem as it gets. I ran through the check list, nerd guy, lots of girls, obnoxious situation. Oh crap, I forgot the most important element of all. The fact that the new girl is now living with the nerd guy. Which makes all his succubus, prude, bitch friends jealous. So they have to start living with him as well. You know I have to wonder where the hell are the parents in all these situations? I really want to know.
