It is sad when good ideas die miserable pathetic deaths. However, that is what happens when you have too much. That has to be the one thing that kills this series. There is just too much for how it was written. There are too many characters, that are left unused, too much focus on the uhh I guess relationship, and finally too much focus on trying to have a story. Which brings us back to the characters.

I have to say that this really only hit me on the last episode. When... I think it was close to.. I think it was 10 characters introduced back in episode one appeared. Even back in episode one they were barely given honorable mentions. They were given an appearance and a name. Then just mysteriously vanished. Only to show up at the end. Even then, at the end most only get an honorable mention. The episode still features Yamato's harem.

That is what this series is about. It is your typical ero anime. You have a guy, he is around a bunch of girls. All the girls want to get with him. Often times at least one, sometimes two episodes, were dedicated to a specific interaction between Yamato and one of the girls. There are, five main females. That is half the series in this particular anime. Well close to half and I know a good chunk of these episodes bleed over into the next episode. All of them serve no point. Other than to show that these girls have a crush on Yamato. It was even more fun watching Yamato buy back alley porn while they were trying to express their feelings. In the end though none of this served any real purpose in the story.

I really hate how hard this series tries to use literary devices. Yes there is the occasional foreshadowing. One really big foreshadow appears in episode one. However, then everything just drops off the face of the planet. Then all of the sudden you are broadsided with a bombardment of story. Bad guys are introduced, an evil plot is introduced, a whole new thing comes into existence. Thus wasting all the previous episodes and their mindless high school lust. Which is just a waste of time.

I guess I have to say this show wasted its potential. There is a very rich idea here... not an original one, but a rich universe comes from it. Sadly it is wasted away on nudity, panty shots, and stereotypical shows of female affection. You could make this series work as a short series. However, you need to cut out all the mushy crap. Had this been 12 episodes of what I saw in episode one. Then yeah it would be a good anime. Sadly it is not, it is anything but a good anime. They took a shot glass and dumped a gallon of water into it. Hoping that nothing would spill. I guess they could emerge a fighting game out of it though.
