You know I always have mixed feelings about writing a review for animes that I have only watched the dubs for. I mean on one side I know that there are plenty of talented writers out there doing the localizations... but on the other side I also know that some jokes will be lost on the anime. Well whatever, I guess if I say I watched the localized version then you guys cannot complain. So yeah, this anime is basically all about one girl's quest to get laid. The problem is she is freaking delusional as crap. Combine that with what most girls think is the perfect body, minus the annoying average boobs, and it is a recipe for.. well delusions and hilarious situations.

So I guess I liked the localized version a lot because some how they managed to keep on coming up with lines through out the anime that were just random and hilarious. I would be sitting there playing along on Pokemon and watching and listening. When all of the sudden something would be said and I would have to rewind the anime and guess what yeah that was actually said. You do not get many animes like that these days.. or in days past. I mean holy crap the stuff they said. Plus the best part was that it was all pretty much PG-13 for the most part. That takes some real kind of talent to do that is for sure.. or at least I think so.. then again I am a pretty crappy writer. At least the delusions were great.

My personal favorite is whenever Yamada is admiring herself naked in the mirror.. then sits down and looks in the little mirror. Yeah.. you know that is just one of those situations that you just have to wonder exactly.. What The Fuck? I mean holy shit is that something girls do? You know inspect the port of entry? Well regardless, that is still pretty funny to see. If even a bit creepy at times. Then there are all of Yamada's delusions that come through.

My personal favorite relates to the previous point. Whenever she thinks about a guy doing her and it ends with him saying "What the Fuck?" at which point she returns to being a stuck-up, prude, bitch and that is that. Then there are all her little fantasies she has. Which is a result of her reading all the dirty gossip in all the dirty magazines. I mean after all it is not like she has many chances to get laid right? Therefore she needs to study up on what others say sex is like. That way she is more likely to succeed at spreading them and lying there while some poor confused lad just sort of flails on her like a traditional first time couple. Well whatever, the only better part are the inner-eros avatars.

Most of the wonderful lines that are spouted come from these guys because no one can see them. So they can say REALLY obscene things and get away with it. The best part is when the characters have a dialog with these little guys. You know because the dialog is short and you cannot really tell if they are actually talking to their avatars or if they are just talking to themselves. That is generally made pretty obvious when the eros avatar freaks out because the character might do the opposite of what was said. Well whatever, at least they bring about that nice break to the awkward silence and actions that occur. Plus you do not have to ruin the scene because they are imaginary.

So if anything this is a funny anime to watch because of all the delusional bull crap that comes through. That is a major redeeming quality to an otherwise generic romantic comedy. You have to praise the uniqueness of the plot. After all you have a super popular girl who wants to be the mack daddy... or mommy or whatever. Normally you have a bunch of pathetic guys who want to get some which is all to normal of a scene. However, when the normal gossiping gets to be boring you throw in that inner voice that makes us all incredibly insane and use them to fill in the dialog gaps. Plus you give them funny outfits based on the character. You have boring guy, sweet not so innocent magical girl and you with a mustache. Yeah that is something that you might want to consider if you give faces to your inner voices.
