So yeah this is one of those anime that... well I am not sure I really have a description for it to be honest. I know that Moe was the who thing they were going for I can see that easily, anyone with half a brain can see it. However, just because an anime is cute doesn't really mean anything. I mean yeah it has its cute moments, even dragging into the whole baby thing. However, then there are a bunch of really really obnoxious things that happen later on. For instance lets pick on Hotaru first.

So according to the anime Hotaru is just in fifth grade. You know a child who has reached that age when all sorts of wonderous things happen. However, when you sit down and look at Hotaru you realize that she probably had all those neato things happen when she was in third grade. Which is REALLY confusing to me. I mean seriously, you have the fifth grader who is built better than her teacher or eight grade sempai. Why do they do stuff like that? It is just... well REALLY wrong. We are going to say she is... what would she be like 10 or 11. However, we are going to give her a fully functional body for all the really sick and twisted stuff that will happen to her in the various fan fictions that will come out. Then there is the whole obsession part of the anime.

That is primarily shared with Hotaru and Komari. Komari is obsessed with being an adult. While Hotaru is obsessed with her adorable sempai. I mean both of them take it to really weird proportions. I mean you have Hotaru and her dolls, that just got weird after a while. I mean really, did she have to make so many of them and keep them around? I guess that is what happens to people who will one day stalk others... still it was just weird. Then we have Komari

You know the one who had the never-ending joke of always being one step behind the ways of the adult? Every time she tried to do something more adult she failed miserably. Well mostly miserably, I mean I think she might have gotten one or two things right in her whole adulthood thing. However, for the most part she ran the usual petite anime character regiment. She is tiny and cute, she wants to be treated like an adult and acts like a child while profusely denying that fact. The only thing that sucked more was the token male character.

I think that was the worst part of this anime. They had a male character for the sake of having a male character. That is it, he served no other purpose other than to be a penis to... well I guess to be present. Really our favorite male lead could have not had a name if the damn school was not so incredibly small. He did not even have a voice, I mean why waste time animating someone who is not going to have anything other than a few cameos? In REALLY small towns like that one it is possible for there to be no male children. However, for some reason it was deemed necessary to have a male who was just there to put some unneeded testosterone in the air... or something I am not sure.

I would waste time talking about the teacher, however, why do that when she is just standard cookie cutter lazy adult character? True she had her moments where you have to wonder what the fuck... but still they are not enough to really prove she was anything but the lazy cookie cutter character who has to have a bit more personality because she interacts with the other characters.

So all in all, you really have very little reason to waste your time with this anime. It is just another fancy jaunt through the world of being cute and innocent. Only this time instead of focusing on just 5 girls and having others around them. You focus on the only girls in town who have no one but each other. Yes I guess it is cute, and a bit random to the point of being funny at times.. but... you know that is not enough to make the anime worth even thinking about much less steal 4 hours of my life while I watch it because I am an obsessive person who wants to write reviews.
