The one thing I hate about this anime is the author completely psyches you out. I mean completely psyches you out and mocks you. Completely and utterly, so bad so that it makes the series kind of hard to watch at times. Then again what did I expect when I read up a bit on this series and found out it is a Dating Sim? Why the hell did it have to start out so awesome?

I have rarely seen a better opening block for a series. Then what do they do, they fill it with 11 more episodes of sexually frustrated adults. Not even adult stuff either. I mean you would be surprised to find out that all this pilots are actually adults who are out of school and all that stuff. They act like a bunch of teenagers who discovered orgasms accidentally. Well most of them do, there is the swedish cougar, but she is the only exception in this case. To be honest I do not really know why you needed her other than to have the mature woman aspect in there.

This is exactly why you do not make an anime just because it has mechs. I honestly think that is the only reason this novel was made into an anime. Because there are awesome mechs in it. That means lots and lots of Merchandizing. Plus since the pilots have to wear special sexy outfits to fly their units. You have several sets of masturbatory toys that can come out. Hell you can make up characters as well and put them in the suits. That is the only reason any tragedy like this could be approved.

Maybe I am just being pessimistic, but this series was a serious let down. Turns out it is not what mech series are supposed to be. Mech series are supposed to have struggle and violence, death, growth, sadness, happiness. Not a bunch of adults pretending they are in high school again on a military base. Maybe they will fix all the problems in the second season, if there is a second season. Otherwise, I would not waste your time. Hell there are not even that many good sexy poses in the swimsuits and ero-suits. At least with other animes like this one you can find good freeze frames.
