Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki
Somua was summoned to rebuild a country, not to fight the demon lord. At least it is a good break from the usual stuff where we have to put up with him always being the one to save the day.

The world is in peril. A demon lord is threatening the lands of man and small kingdoms are desperate for answers. So they always do the thing they do best, summon a hero. Except this kingdom has other internal problems that are pretty big as well. So instead of going on an adventure and fighting the demon lord to save the day. Souma will become the new king, and everyone will do as he says as he fixes the kingdom&am;#39;s other problems, such as the economy.
Season 1 Episode 3
Another Waifu and Chef
Well, that was quick. Normally, you have to wait longer to get Waifu number two. However, here is waifu number two right here and now, and she wants to be waifu number two. Well, I guess she does not really want to be but still. It is an interesting way to forcibly build the standard harem for the hero. You just have one who vows to be the loyal subject. The question is who is more valuable, her or Poncho
A good point about gourmands, as I think they are called, like Poncho. These guys are great for handling food shortages. I know that people, in general, eat whatever they have to eat to survive, but this is an exciting idea. Going around and using all that information could really save your life. Granted, a lot of what he did was still dependent on him having a lot of tools and stuff still. It is interesting to see how one might be able to view such a passion as a way to save a kingdom.
Season 1 Episode 3
A Flower in each Hand
You know Aisha is pretty cute. I do like her. However, this is one of those characters who I might have some trouble going "Off to bed" with. I mean it since she is so incredibly enthusiastic. Yeah, that is the rod. However, it feels like you would be exploiting a child or something. I granted heroes rarely fall into any category other than sex maniac or scared of sex, so I guess I will not think on it. Then there is the date.
The more I watch anime, I have no idea why people want to keep so many females around. I mean, yeah, I totally get the pretty ones that are fun to look at, but still, it seems like a hassle to deal with all their crap. Even with someone as naive as Aisha. I mean, she is basically a child, and it seems like a pain to have her running around offering to go to bed with me all the time. Then there is Liscia, who is just sort of mean. I guess Juna is on the docket as well. Why would you want to have more than one female? I get the challenge of trying to hide the fact, but just having eight wives seems like a hassle, especially if all of them really want that together time.
Season 1 Episode 8
Raaping and Sowing
I guess that was some excellent foreshadowing a couple of episodes back. You get to have the explanation as to why this event will happen, and then it gets to happen, and the world gets to grow and evolve. Granted Souma should not really feel too bad. Even if what he told the dark elves to do was done, the damage was already done. Plus, the kingdom starving takes precedence. I guess you just have to make sure that you remember to at least have some backburner to handle lesser random events like this one. At least there is that much to learn from this episode.
Season 1 Episode 10
Resource Management
You have to work with what you have and not what you might want or need at another time. Sometimes you have to do things that hurt to keep a country from collapsing in on itself. Plus, the whole war was a great ruse to allow the changes needed to make sure that the kingdom had the country they needed to survive the more significant threat of the demon lord. But we at least get some of that magical, isekai everything falls into place perfectly, so we have exactly what we need to win situations. This anime has been surprisingly light on those. It actually makes the anime more fun to watch.
Season 1 Episode 13
A Dick Move
I guess one must do evil things to ensure that they do not have to deal with revenge-obsessed losers in the future, but this is pretty mean. I mean going out and removing all the restrictions and showing the people how oppressed they were. That is mean. It screams we will be making you fight a civil war in the future. There are bigger fish to fry than this small-time military nation that would collapse eventually anyway. I guess it is better than a war with the world superpower. You need to be a superpower before telling them to screw off.
Season 1 Episode 14
Of Course they are the Same
Is this going to be a new trope that we get to look forward to? I do not recall that being a trope in the past. You know the trope where the hero from a different world has the same ideas as someone from that world? Then again, I guess this anime needs to be familiar with it. There are so many things that are pretty out of the ordinary for this anime. I think I should not be surprised. I just hope that things can stay this way and there is nothing stupid like the empress and Somua decide that they need to have a political marriage. That would be annoying. I am pretty sure we are going to see at least a couple more before the series ends.
Season 1 Episode 18
Peopel Really Fall for This?
I guess the proper way to ask would be people really fell for this routine. I think back in those days, guards were a bit better at keeping their mouths shut, so that might be it, but we are really going this way and making that stuff be the way it works. I guess that is not the worst outcome. After all, you must put on shows for the commoners, so they can feel vindicated or something. I suppose that is all we can do at the end of the day. At least, what the former duke had to say was good. I do like that about these anime. On occasion, they make the so-called villains actually have a spin and be cool and stuff. Still, the question now is what mysterious form will arise from the ashes of this once great man who is totally not that man.
Season 1 Episode 20
Poor Carla
I get that the resident maid needs to be a sadist, but still, this is not as much fun as you would think it would be. Getting the dragon warrior to run around in a short maid skirty. Then have her innocence shattered by this evil maid who loves nothing more than to torment the poor girl. I guess that is to be expected, though. You need to have these quirky b-cast characters so that the anime has room to add in pointless episodes like this, where we get to see Carla being an innocent flower who is ashamed of her skirt length.
