Maou has been defeated by Max, the hero. It was a glorious battle, so much so that Maou decided that he would reincarnate early so that he could have another grand bout with the hero Max. However, there is a problem. First, due to the early reincarnation, Maou is not a little girl who is level 1. Second, the hero, Max, has had a rough time these past ten years. He is just a hikikomori living off his savings and not taking care of himself. So Maou is going to fix this problem by moving in with the hero and whipping him back into shape.

Modern Fantasy
It is always funny to see these anime that are all about swords and magic, and then they also have the modern world. I do feel bad for Max, though. I mean, he is just an idiot who saved the world. Of course, he did not know that people would want to ruin his life. Still, I guess when you are young and dumb, you do not think about these things. I am kind of surprised that he was left alone for so long. You would think that he would have been harassed more or something.

Falling out?
You have to wonder exactly what happened to the Hero's party after they saved the world. It seems like they are not on good terms or something. We already have our cleric try to exploit Max for some kind of promotion or something. However, I will pat Max on the back this time. He does the right thing, keeps his mouth shut, and no one can challenge him. It really sucks when your "friend" is trying to exploit your fame or whatever for his own personal gain. It should be interesting to see what happens.
