You know it is funny when you watch an episode and you start to see dates appear. Not just any dates either, familiar dates. It is kind of funny how we view these alternate timelines. How no matter what happens in these alternate worlds there will always be something to happen on these famous dates. I do not know, I just found it kind of interesting is all. However, why not use famous dates?<

I mean they are already established. So why not make them have significance in the anime. Then again, this anime is occurring in the late 90s or early 2000s. So I guess you need to account for stuff that has happened. Since before that this game was written long before anything ever happened. Just because you change history a little does not mean you cannot change certain events even. Oh well, it is just something I noticed while watching.

If humans were really ever threatened by some kind of extinction level war. This episode proves that we would be killed off easily. All the in-fighting between different countries. I mean why can't anyone be in it for the species? Why are we always fighting for dominance of the world while our species is trying to survive? I am just fine with people waging war AFTER we wipe out the alien threat. However, why do they always do it during the war? The sad thing is that I know that this is a pretty accurate episode.

On a side note, what exactly does this author have against American and Russia? I am serious, those are the only two countries that really seem to get picked on in this one. The rest of the pilots in the team are just your typical anime characters. Not that the USA and Russia do not fall into anime character niches. They just seem to be the ones who cause the most trouble. as
