I liked the idea behind this anime. It really had some potential. However, in the end it was way too short. Not only that I think it was doing really bad, ratings wise. So instead of focusing on the sacred seven. They had to focus on the high school side of things. Which really ruined the anime.

People forget that other series that have high schoolers saving the world. The whole school life aspect of it is a secondary thing. Yes they go to school and on occasion the school is involved. However, for the most part the school life aspect is just there. Often times the school aspect of the anime vanishes during the really big events in the magical world. Not in this anime. They said lets make the hero portion a secondary portion.

I understand that Aruma's sudden social change was part of the story. How he went from being the feared, reclusive, bitter, tall guy. To a socially normal person. However, that is not really important. What is important is the work Ruri and him are doing to protect the city. Also what exactly was going on with the sacred seven. Not how the midget and giant wanted to fuck each others brains out. So like any good story that has a fail formula it got pushed ahead in huge leaps.

Saying there are unanswered questions and plot holes is an understatement for this anime. One minute they are fighting bad guys the next minute Ruri and Aruma are being tricked into dating for 5 episodes. Then all the sudden a bunch of other crap happens. Now Aruma has to save the day. The only time when things were worse was when they implemented the whole idea that Aruma has to transform at least once an episode.

You have 12 episodes guys, please don't waste my time. Seriously, if we are going to focus on character development focus on it. Do not randomly add on the gimmick you are trying to sell this series with. The combat and transforming and stuff is part of the story. Not the whole point of the fucking anime. Why is it so hard for them to just have episodes where the characters develop? What is even worse is when they force there to be other characters.

I am talking about the Rock club of course. First off, what the fuck is a rock club? I mean they could be the geology club I could accept that. However, the rock club where people just look for rocks is retarded. Why don't I just create the affection club? You know where I try and trick a bunch of girls into giving me all the physical affection I want. Then there were the episodes they wasted trying to involve the rock club in the attacks of dark stones. Why bother, yes they are there to be a buffer between the romantic development of Ruri and Aruma, nothing more. Why did they have to get attacked?

Overall, this series just feels too.. I don't know manipulated. So much is forced into the series. So little comes out of the series. Really I have seen hentai where there are sex scenes every 5 minutes that have more depth and story than this anime. I am talking about the really bad obnoxious hentais that are supposed to be bad too. Kind of like American porn. Most of those have more story than this anime did. I love how they hinted at a second season. However, I doubt they will be able to make one. This series barely stood on its own with a story they could continue. Oh well it is Bandai it is not like it would be the first time they sunk money into a pointless enterprise.
