Almost A Sitcom
I have to say this series one redeeming quality is its some what sitcom nature. You have Rat on one end of the spectrum and Sion on the other. Watch the sparks fly as these two live together and overcome the life of living in a dead world. One is a survivor the other is a city bred brat. What will happen, you will have to watch to find out.
Really this anime seems to be about the arrogance of man. How man thinks he can do anything. How one man can decide what is best for the rest. As well as how men and women can change based on their situation. There are a lot of conspiracy, and anti-government undertones in this series. I mean Sion was kicked out for even questioning something that happened in Number 6.
It is really hard to describe why I managed to make this anime from start to finish. I guess in the end I was just curious about where the author was going with it. It is definitely a unique concept. Most post Armegedon wars do not involve people managing to find the time and resources to build a supposed utopia. Well of course the saying is, if it is too good to be true, then it probably is.
There is plenty of stuff happening in this series to make you go WTF is going on? There is this town on the outside of the wall. Yet some how it has a government of some kind. Really you just want to see where people go with these ideas. While this is kind of a cult classing idea. It is still better than most other ideas out there.
