Marika is your typical average girl. She is smart, hot, obnoxious, you know a typical average woman. Perfectly normal high school girl yes normal that is right normal. Till one day she learns that her dad is actually a legal space pirate. Turns out he died, and now she gets to inherit his job. This is the story of why allowing someone to inherit a title like this is a bad idea.

I wonder if all pirates were such good buddies with royalty? How many pirates out there could just waltz around talking to royalty and being honored by the royalty for saving the kingdom? Well I guess that fits the kind of pirate show that this one is. Where being a pirate is a bit more than a gimmick. I kind of feel the same way about one piece... but... eh whatever. You have to have royalty being buddies with the pirates. It would not be pirates if you did not have some kind of buddy up high right?

This is why you do not let royalty advise you on what to do. I mean what kind of disguise is a business suit? Now maybe if they took Marika and put her in a male suit and gave her a hate it would be one thing, but they didn't. Second off who is stupid enough to recruit random sailors? I mean these guys are pirates right? Who is to say that they won't just rob you blind and then run off? I can understand looking for sailors who are going to be a permanent part of the crew... but for a temporary crew... uhhh what the hell is wrong with her? Oh well at least it was pretty hilarious watching them think they were fooling everyone.

Play Time Is Over
That was hilarious, all the school girls suddenly got cold feet when they realized that this was not just a simulation? That was seriously awesome, I mean what did they think that it was all just fun and games? Well I mean it is just all fun and games until someone's evil plans are revealed. Oh well it was kind of funny watching them all back down in the middle of the fight. One has to ask... why not wait till the fight is over and back down after it is over. Granted the Yuri was a nice twist.
All the girls are so innocent not watching two girls kiss. That was kind of... well stupid.. I mean they are at that age. Yeah a little weird... but.. you cannot be celibate forever right? Oh well at least it was amusing watching them all squirm a bit. I have to say it was a nice surprise.

Didn't we call this Skies of Arcadia? Just a random thought because this all feels so familiar... I wonder what is going to happen next. The struggle to unite all the pirates under the rule of a school girl? Well I guess that game is really old so no one would remember it if they never played it.

Is This A Bad Joke?
Are you serious.... well I guess I have to expect this from a school girl pirate anime. One where a theft raid is just a theater piece holy crap this annoys me to no end. Plus the crew annoys me to no end. It is like you have to try really hard to make every pirate a unique character. Well except for the red shirts. They get to be the red shirts. I have to say that I am rather upset at this so far... hopefully something new will happen. It will be funny watching Marika go through school and having to pirate. That will be hilarious.
I have never understood that about anime. They make it seem like people have time for two full-time commitments in life. I am serious, how many people can find time to have a 40 hour a week job plus got to school all day everyday. I mean even in college most kids have to have 12 hours of classes one day and then work the rest. They cannot do the job AND be a student. However, I guess that is anime for you right? They are super human and can do whatever the hell they please. Uhh anime can be so very annoying sometimes. Oh well at least things are working out ok for now. I really hope that there is more to this anime than cute school girl pirate. However, I am not holding my breath. Granted the psyche they pulled was pretty hilarious.

Cute Exemption
You know maybe I am just bitter. However, I am not sure why cute girls always seem to get away with the dumbest excuse. I am serious, it annoys me to no end. Maybe I am just immune to it. However, I am more than willing to call bullshit and/or punish the girl at hand. However, I guess these girls are anime best buddies. So they can forgive anything no matter how stupid or how bad. Sometimes I really hate anime relationships. I have never understood why people feel no need to punish each other. Even if it is your friend that does no make what he or she did any less stupid. I mean who gets away with tripping the breaker in the hanger? I am sure there is like a fine and stuff imposed with that. Then again I guess this is the rich hot girl school. So I guess a few swimsuit shots will suffice right? Oh well such is life I guess. I guess people become more broken when they have no choice but to face punishment. That is always nice to see.

Yacht Club
So it has been too long since I last watched this anime so I am starting over from episode one. I do remember all the stuff that happened but it is kind of hazy in my eyes. Anyway one thing that makes me wonder is the Yacht club. I mean... are space ships really Yachts? That is something that I will waste a bunch of time pondering. I mean... I guess there was a time when ships were a new thing and it was a mystical and magical thing. However, why do they call them Yachts?
The whole idea of a yacht is one that I have not really understood for a while anyway. I mean after all any kind of boat seems to be a Yacht these days. It could be a big ship or a small one. As long as it has sails it seems to be a yacht. Then I have to wonder who came up with the word? I mean yeah I could travel to Wikipedia... but that would be too easy.
Another thing that I have to wonder about. Exactly how can this school be afforded? After all, the mom is an air traffic control person... they do not make much money. I guess she has lots of money from being a pirate.. but still... hmmm oh well that is something that happens I guess.

So being the good anime denizen that I am I do my best to get my anime from legitimate sources. One of these sources if Crunchy Roll. So I decided to watch this anime today, and what do I see when I open up the app. But a new more English title. Not only a new title but a new hilarious and obnoxious title. I won't spoil it for you guys. Head on over there and see it for yourself.
Man do I remember the good old days when that was the way to describe things. The title gives the anime a sudden 90s feel. Yes the 90s... that time I was a kid in. It is hilarious too see the words that were used and the stuff we used to entertain ourselves back then. It is even funnier when something like this appears and is 100% serious about it. Oh well, at least it is good for a laugh.
