Death and Suffering of my Hardware
So today is a sad day in all of my days as an anime collector... days. One of my HDDs died... and the other... well the other is being reformatted so it might as well have died. So I have officially lost all my Fansubs and scanlations... yes it is a sad day indeed.... so much was lost. Lucky for me one of the HDDs seems to have survived... I am not 100% sure if it did seeing as how it is not done reformatting. But I hope that if anything it will work again.. after a 3rd reformat... to get it into Fat32. Funny how the most obselete File system known to make works and the advanced HFS on my Mac does not work. This is a sad day indeed... well it has been a sad couple of weeks.
I mean back during Thanksgiving I discovered that one of the memroy slots on my Wii was broken. And of all the slots it had to be the mother fucking A slot. So now I know that I will have to play various games on my Gamecube... not that that is a bad thing. I mean that is why I kept it around and have it hooked up to the TV. It is just really annoying when you cannot use the backwards compatibility feature on your more advanced... well recycled and over-clocked Gamecube. Then there was last week.
So for the past few.. months I have been not really using my internet... well I have been using it just under the wrong access account. And well I finally get that fixed, and for some reason my PS3 wireless dies. I only change my SSID and suddenly my PS3 can no longer detect wireless access points. Seriously, how does shit like this happen? It went from working one day to broken the next day. God... next think I know my 360 is going to Red Rings on me.
So yeah it has been a rough time for me. Lucky for me I have found some fixes for everything. Like with my PS3 I can use a wired connection, not my prefered method but it works. Plus for my anime and manga well I can find most of it online. I mean the bits are not really all that dead, it is just a matter of getting them all back onto my system... which is a VERY time consuming task in and of itself. Oh well I need more Disk space to make more back ups. After all we must keep all the bits alive.
