Following the coup d’etat in Foreland, the only known successor to the Foreland Crown. Princess Arita, fled before the assailants could get to her. While being chased through the woods by an unknown assailant Arita runs into a bounty hunter, and accidentally pushes her off a cliff.

In this world people who share a near death experience can swap souls. Now the bounty hunter, Pharis, and Arita have swapped souls. After some begging Arita, now in the body of Pharis, gets Pharis, now in Arita's body, to help in regaining her throne. However, the one thing that Pharis did not expect was part of her contract was to rule the kingdom until Pharis and Arita can switch back.
