The Union in the north and the confederacy in the south had a bit of a dispute and erupted into violent civil war, where have I heard this before? Anyway, to win the way the north worked with forbidden technology which allowed the Union to imbue soldiers with the ability to transform into monsters. This squad was known as the Incarnates, and they were pretty much unstoppable. These soldiers helped bring victory to the north and reunify the country.
There was a small side-effect though, you see, the more the Incarnates used their powers, the more the beast inside took over causing them to go insane slowly. After the north's failed attempt to destroy the squad the Incarnates went on a rampage throughout the reunified country. Now the former captain of the squad, Hank, must hunt down and kill all his old comrades because of the vow he made to his squad. You know probably to keep the peace and all that.
Season 1 Episode 1
This is a first
You know it is kind of strange to see a war-torn world based on the civil war. Usually, when it comes to western wars, being the base for a setting of a story, they like world war one and world war two. So seeing the civil war is kind of a nice change of pace. Yes, it is the civil war, not just because they call the north the union and the south the confederacy. If you pay attention to the reason why the war started, it was because of the industrial north disagreeing with mining based south. True, the south during the actual civil war was a more agrarian society, but the pint remains the same; this is the civil war.
I am kind of impressed the guy knows his stuff too right down to the little pre-loaded rounds that were used. I mean the only thing that deviates from the original civil war are the main characters' uniforms otherwise the rest of the extras are basically doing a civil war reenactment as for as I can see which is kind of refreshing to see and a nice change. I guess that leave Nam as the last war that can be used for a setting though I do not think that we will ever see that.
