Season 1 Episode 12
Well this has been a ride in a new wave of Gundam. Maybe they took a hint from Aldoha or something I am not sure, but still it is nice to not follow your tradition gundam format. I mean for starters the pilot is already a bad ass, that is nice to have.. well bad ass in the other things. Plus the whole PMC thing is a nice change as well. There are no real wars going on just PCM struggles to change the political landscape.
I also like how there is more than one good guy. Too often in gundam you have scores of assholes with their own objective and the gundam stops them. However, this time around there are several causes which feel just and noble. That is kind of rare given how often the series is prone to just wasting time. If anything it is a nice change from gundam.. besides their desperate attempt to tie it to gundam.
The whole past thing is kind of annoying. I understand that prototypes are powerful, but seriously.. can no one manufacture anything? Ugh well whatever, at minimum it s hows a declined humanity which is nice to see. I do enjoy how the Gundam is good but not the best as well. That has been made apparent several times with this extra crew. That is always a welcome change in my book. I do hate deities in my anime unless the anime is specifically about a deity in which case it is more okay than not.
