Yup I was 100% correct when I predicted that I will need to put some marathon space between the end of the invasion and this arch. Not that the arch is bad it just is not as intense and driven as the previous arcs. Which really breaks the anime into pieces that makes it hard to watch. Sadly that is just how things go had to work out. I remember a certain shounen trinity anime that should have died, but did not. Luckily this anime has plenty of room to grow.

The problem lies in the world its self. I mean going from all out war to intramural sports is just boring. I mean yeah I get it Osamu is supposed to grow and become a leader, but he just sucks too much for that. He is not someone I can see having a really heroic rise to power. Which makes this anime a bit slow right now.

Osamu feels like he would rise to the top of Border the old fashioned way. With hard work, time and ass kissing. However, he is trying to power level himself to levels he is not really at yet. I mean yeah sure he is amazing as a tactician, but that is not really enough to drive him forward to the stage he wants to be in.

Regardless I am happy that I decided to take a break chances are I would have lost interest in this anime had I kept it up weeks by week. Letting the artist flex his creative muscles is rather boring. One shot characters are not the best use of time.

Finally, something is happening and I can enjoy it. Though it does feel very similar to the previous series still it is nice to know that things are finally moving along. It is not often that I do this but seriously I am tired of following around the wildcard squad. Each battle shows just how weak the squad really is. I mean geez, they could at least have a luck kill or something.. but now.. the anime just wants to keep dragging on as it it will never end. Oh well, at least in the most recent episodes everyone has made sure that Osamu knows he sucks.
