This is one of those fun light hearted comedies that really go no where. I have to say at minimum the series itself was pretty funny to watch. It was like the author wanted to make sure that the world knew that our favorite protagonist was not really all that great off since he died. There is just enough story and just enough random humor to make this series at least a slight bit amusing to watch.

I guess my favorite thing about this series is the fact that there are lots of little arcs. Plenty of random stories to watch and hear. Even the filler episodes were not all that bad. You could find some kind of a story in all of them with all the necessary parts and pieces that make a good plot. Some were solved in two episodes some were solved in three. At the end of the day this was a pretty diverse anime despite its size. Plus none of it felt rushed.

Well none might be a bit of an overstatement. No some of it felt lazy or rushed at times. There were a few parts where the a story was set up. Then everyone ran off and did their own thing for a couple of episodes and then at the end of it all the series was wrapped up neatly and calmly so that everyone could go home and continue obsessing over the dog. That was a nice twist in the series at times. I guess this anime plays itself up as an off the wall comedy that is just crazy for the sake of being crazy.

The best part about the humor in this series is the fact htat it is not too off the wall. Yes it is ridiculous, but by no means is it off the wall to the point where I have no clue what is going on. THat is painful to watch, this one was good to watch because it had plenty of stuff to talk about and plenty of stuff to make you laugh because you know why it is funny, not because you know it is supposed to be funny. I mean who doesn't love a talking chainsaw that is supposed to be designed for cutting tuna? I wish I had one of those to tell me that it is cutting up the tuna.

So all in all this series is a pretty good example of an anime that is short but not disappointlingly short. There are plenty of animes where the seasons are chopped in half just because the producers think that they can milk it for a season two. No this one, nope everything fits together nicely and everything works together. Plus there are no real cliff hangers or anything like that at the end. The series ends and that is that. If there never is a second season of this anime then I am not going to lose any sleep or be disappointed in the industry. So really this seris is a great example of how to make an anime short and simple and how to not milk it for every penny you mihgt want or thing you are entitled too.
