William is a great and well-bred human. He comes from a long and storied aristocrat family and he has an intellect to match any of the people he idolizes. That is until one day he is summoned to the principles office because he apparently did not pay his tuition. Then through a few sorted discoveries he learns that his uncle has lost the family fortune in a series of bad investments. So like any good rich kid he needs to keep his appearance up. So he seeks out whatever treasure he can find and stumbles upon a secret room.

In this room is a magical seal left by his ancestor Solomon. William some how manages to summon one of Solomon' pillars a demon named Dantalian. Problem is that William is a strict realist who denies the existence of the super natural. You know despite all the obvious things happening right in front of his eyes. After telling the demon he is not a demon. William learns that he is the elector of the next ruler of hell while Lucifer goes into a hibernation cycle. Suddenly the occult is following William around trying to make him select them as the next ruler of hell.
