In the 71 of the True calendar, 70% of the human population has migrated out into space. In this world there are three main powers The Dorssia, the ARUS, and the JIRO. All are trying to become the dominate people. This is the year the Dorssia are going to Annex JIRO into their nation through invasion.
At this time Haruto is just a normal high school kid. That is until the invasion happens and a mysterious Mech appears out of the pool of his school. In a blind rage Haruto climbs into the suit and decides to sacrifice his humanity so he can pilot it and save his school. Along with the power of the suit Haruto gains some fairly interesting super powers, such as immortality and the ability to swap bodies. Now Haruto is the sole protector of a newly formed nation of the surviving high school students.
Season 1 Episode 1
Random Encounters
You know, I think it is kind of interesting how much the Japanese like Random Chance. I cannot say that I disapprove of the idea. I have seen a few animes where everything goes as planned and the anime starts with the guy or girl who was trained from birth to do this thing that they are doing. I have to say that they are a bit lamer than the ones where shit happens and all of the sudden a kid is thrown into the frey, granted I am kind of tired of the flakes coming in and being the heros.
I mean Haruto is probably one of the worst in years. Yeah this is not something that is easy for any kid to do, but why do all the popular losers have to be the ones who gain the power. Why is it that a the guys who are already strong cannot just happen on something that makes themselves stronger? I mean christ, it gets old seeing the same protagonist do the same thing over and over again.
Season 1 Episode 3
Was That Metal Gear?
You know that is kind of what I see when I watch this particular episode. You have L-elf who is escaping using the most random circumstances. I mean holy crap, Who know you could destroy a light with the screw from a chair. Well that was kind of cool. Then you see him running around basically rigging the entire city into one giant trap. I mean damn, that is the kind of stuff you do in Metal Gear for sure.
Why is it that these guys are always made into the bad guys? I have never understood that about anime. I guess the human experience tells us that we want people to triumph over evil no matter what the odds are. Well that is kind of funny, E-elf is what you would get if you combined Superman and Batman I think.
I mean you have his ability to be practically invulnerable and kill everything that moves. Then you have his super brain which predicts the future and stuff like that. Granted he seems a little over powered. However, I guess you need an immovable object to stop an unstoppable force. Especially a force that cannot die.
Season 1 Episode 6
That Crazy Bitch
You know that is the fun part about this anime is there seems to be no shortage of people who are batshit insane. I mean holy crap Saki, you are lucky that Haruto was out of it the whole time. I mean christ, running around acting like the super ladies man. Granted that is a good one, the one about the mouth and how he plugged it. I wonder if that one would work.
Granted I can see a lot of girls doing something like that. I mean they would suddenly have a new degree of freedom that they did not have when they were a girl. Any girl with as much apathy and greed as Saki would totally do something like that. Then at the end of the day she ran off and spooned with Haruto. Well I guess that serves him right because he is kind of a wuss. I mean christ, if I found out that she went joy riding with my body. I would have to repay the favor. Then again it might become one of those Hatfield and Mccoy situations. Where each time we do something even more terrible to each other. Then again, it would be an interesting thing to see.
