Guilty Crown
Big swords and girls who have to dress sexy. I think this is a passable anime.

It is... umm now I guess and Japan is recovering from a pandemic of some kind. Which has severely crippled the country. Thus making it the perfect chance to implement martial law, and hold random killings and purges for said disease, because apparently it is not 100% gone. In this world lives a wuss named Shu.
Shu is nothing special really. He is your typical socially awkward high schooler. He goes to school, he does his best to pretend like he is social, he has a crush on the latest hot thing who is willing to walk around almost naked.... oh yeah and umm sing I think she does that too. One day on his way to his secret lair said hot thing is hanging out there. Well not for long as the military comes in and abducts her, but not her toy.
Said toy convinces Shu to deliver the goods said hot thing was carrying. Some movement happened then an attack and a dramatic reunion. Next thing you know there is a hole in the hot thing's chest and Shu is reaching in to pull out a magical sword. What exactly was she carrying on her anyway?
Season 1 Episode 16
The Figurehead
I have always wondered why wimps are always the heros in anime. I think it is because they are wimps and not level headed that you can make such a huge character change. I mean it makes sense. Shu is a wuss, on top of that he is kind of stupid. So what he is doing is not surprising. I mean he has to coup with all of this stuff. However, his feeble mind could not take it. Which makes for an interesting anime. It is hard to tell if he is supposed to be an anti-hero or not.
Needless to say I wonder what will happen when everyone realises the figurehead has lost his mind. Lucky for Shu, Yahiro is there to keep the information under wraps. I guess one has to be really good at covering tracks if one was once a drug dealer. Oh well it is interesting to say the least. I guess this is why intelligent thinkers are never in power. Because we are smart enough to know that the world will turn on us eventually.

The Next Arc
You know it is always odd when I watch an anime like this one. When we have clearly reached the end of one arc. Then we get to start another. Only a bunch of time has passed and I am not sure what is going on. Shu has a new power I guess, though Inori does not seem to notice. Then there is the usual High school rule going on.<
You know I have never understood that about anime. Why is it that schools seem to have this complex government? I mean if the stuff happened in the US. Our student governments would not be able to do jack crap. Hell by the time high school starts in the US. Most students are barely aware that there is such a thing as Student Government. It is there because it is shoved down our throats. However, no one seems to care that it is there. Oh well, it is kind of funny seeing the 17 year olds make all these decisions. I guess it is good to pretend to be adults from time to time. Especially since the adults seem to be acting like kids right now.
Season 1 Episode 3
Why The Remote Controls?
So I noticed something... well more like it dawned on me. What is the point in having a remote controlled mech in this world? I mean it attached directly to your brain. So if you do not sever the connection in time you die. I thought the whole point of having these things be remote controlled was so that you get multiple lives? If a mech fries your brain then why not just pilot the thing yourself. Maybe it doesn't kill you. Maybe it fries your brain and leaves you as a vegetable. Then the evil GHQ can use your for experiments... or sell you out as a sex doll... I bet that is a booming business. The real female sex toys. Yeah she is on life support but she will never complain right? Plus you can get it whenever you want as well.
Season 1 Episode 1
Successful Pop Star Indeed
You know I have to wonder. Was there ever a time when women could be successful singers without parading around half-naked? Not that I am complaining I just have to wonder. She certainly has the good. After all, her entire body is an asset not just her boobs. That is always preferred, at least by me. Then I also noticed she is a bit eccentric as well.
That is also another sign of the madly successful pop singers. They seem to be oblivious to the world around them. Not in a bad way, like they are stupid. They just don't seem to care about the world around them. I bet she forgets she has boobs sometimes. You know Japan and their innocence. She will definitely be around till she is in her mid-20s.
