Slowly dissolving partnership
So I guess that spring 2019 is the first season for anime where we will have Funimation and Crunchyroll have different line ups. Except for the fact that so far it seems like that is not the case. While I will say that Crunchyroll seems to have way more shows going on, that is nothing new for Crunchyroll. After all, it is way easier to sub then it is to dub which can lead to issues with production though I am impressed that Funimation does manage to do it with a reasonably high standard of quality. Though I do hope that they try and clean things up a bit when it comes time for the actual physical release. To be honest I kind of miss the days when Crunchyroll had its shows, and funimation had its shows.
It feels like we are throwing our money down a pit during the partnership. I mean there was nothing exclusive on either channel, and I just kept Funimation around for the sake of supporting the industry. It is annoying doing stuff like that though. I miss the days when I know what was on what and I knew that I was getting the value of the subscription. I guess that is just something that I have to sit around and deal with. It was just nice knowing that one site had one thing and another had another and it was interesting to see who would get what. I guess I have to wait a few more seasons before that happens again.
Oh well, just kind of a one-off whine session. The new season is starting which is nice, granted a couple of shows that I am watching need to be caught up on by me but that is what binges are for. I guess that is all just a random set of thoughts that I had about the upcoming season.
