You know there was a time when I refused to pay for a cellphone. Those were good days, I told my company they can require me to have a cell phone all day and night but I will not spend one cent on it. Those were the good old days, then I decided to give it a try and enjoyed the convinces and all that stuff that comes with owning a cell phone. Now onto why I am reminiscing about this nonsense. A couple of weeks ago my Nexus 6 basically died. I mean I can use it if it is plugged in which basically negates the purpose of having that phone. Sadly today the quest that Android once set out conquer of an open source or open platform has been ruined by the powers that be. At the time sadly there is no android phone that is really worth it on the market. So I buckled down and tainted my soul again with an iPhone.

Well as someone who was an avid fan of tasker... yeah this iPhone is a piece of garbage. I have to force myself to forget all the neat stuff I could do with my android phone that is pretty much impossible with my iPhone unless I pay apple money to get a developer license. Simple things like automated volume control or automatically ending calls when I am driving and sending a text message. All sorts of things like that. They are all gone and there is really nothing that I can do about it. I have to buy 3 apps to maybe, just maybe get 25% of the functionality back from Tasker.

That is not even to mention the small things, like the android specific games and apps I had. Or the fact that with iOS I am forced to suffer with their lame tones and notification sounds. I mean I guess apple has some scam out there that allows you to pay them to make a ring tone for you but seriously that is BS. It is not the lat 90s or 00s when that kind of thing was actually hard to do. It is the modern era. that is something you can build in with no problem. I just do not get it how is it possible that Android has not killed apple.

I mean besides the obvious answer of all the applephiles out there who buy apple no matter what. I mean those guys should not be able to completely support the platform on their own. I mean really this phone sucks. I guess the only reason why android really loses is because now most phones come with crapware on them that can be damn near impossible to remove without violations some kind of warranty or something. Ugh, this world really sucks when you cannot do whatever you want to you phone. On well, I guess that is the world for you.

I guess this was a good thing though it will give google some time to get its act together. I mean their last set of Nexus phones were... well crap. So I am hoping that by taking a couple year break and using my this new apple piece of crap until it is no longer supported I might be able to see the phone spectrum evolve or something. Maybe we will be up to the implant stage by then.

Anyway, working on the regular segments and will hopefully have those up sometime this weekend. Things have snuck up on me a little, but men it is not the first time and there is a nice lull in the mindless MMO grind that I am stuck on sometimes. Plus if I cannot marathon I have more time ot actually keep up. Well anyway, look forward to what you should watch and what you shouldn't as the next post provided something amazingly stupid does not come up first.
