Ugh so this weekend was slightly disappointing for me. First there was the disappointing SWTOR trailer, which I was expecting. Then there was the disappointing Power Rangers trailer, which I was not expecting. So anyway yeah this weekend was just a little bit disappointing when things you are looking forward to are kind of sucky. Now to waste your time with my opinion as to why they sucked.

Well first let's hit SWTOR, because I was expecting that one. True I have been waiting pretty patiently for the next expansion to come out. Bioware seems to have a pretty big universe out there and they are having a hard time containing it in the time limits and sizes they give themselves. Sadly, this particular trailer gave me nothing to really go on. It copied the previous expansion trailer teaser by just showing you the opening movie. Except for the fact that this trailer was all just one big flashback to how Vaylin was treated as a child. Nothing all that special, yeah it was interesting to see everything that we were told in the game play out, but still it was stupid. Unlike the previous expansion this expansion teaser only showed us a flashback. Which does not help since the first teaser gave us the whole gist of what was coming. The whole point of a teaser is to get me excited about the next game and right now I am not all that excited. At least Bioware knows how to tell a good story so that makes it a bit easier to forgive them for this really crappy teaser which tells me nothing about what happened after the end of KOTFE.

Next there is the power rangers. i have been looking forward to this movie since it was originally announced all those years ago. They have done a wonderful job of baiting us losers from the past who grew up with the original series. However, now they come out and lay this turd on us. I really do hate it when a trailer summarizes one part of the movie. So let me save you a little trouble when you are deciding if you want to watch it. The trailer lays out the origin part of the story. That is it, nothing more than that. It shows how all the rangers know each other, think the Breakfast club, it explains a little bit about how they got involved, and then finally the trailer ends. The trailer of course centers around Jason, Kimberly and Billy. The other two are not exactly easy to find in the trailer. Plus we get no concept or clue as to why they fighting or the monsters they will fight or anything. I mean yeah I guess leave some for a surprise... but seriously why ruin the first 30 minutes or so of the movie? Unless the movie is going to be really long? I do not know, needless to say, it was a wasted chance to really excite people about the film.

So yeah I am going to get back into this stuff I hope very soon. It has been kind of a crappy time for me this past couple of months. Unemployment will make it hard for me to care about anything other than looking for a job and now rebuilding my savings is top priority. I need to get back on the anime scene though, been busy just grinding video games to death which is not a bad thing but not the point of this website. So yes, this time around I really will reappear because... well I have not reason to believe that yet, other than the fact that I can do a great deal of the busy work at work and not have to worry about much. Anyway, more new stuff is coming and will be good and happy and stuff like that. At least I want to think it will be. So yeah, I figured I would express my disappointment to cover up my few readers disappointment in me. i will likely write about how much the past couple of months have sucked in another blog, provided that PI do not get sucked up into to many of the games that are coming out that I want to play and will likely end up playing too much for my own good.
