Where does the time go?
Seriously where the fuck does all the time go? I mean it seems like last week I had a month until Anime Vegas, and now the con is just a week away. Funny how time just really starts to rip by you when you get older. So yes almost time for the con, lucky for me my costume is nearly complete. I just have a few detail things to add on but otherwise most of the hard stuff is done, sewing curves is always hard. Anyway, I just need to go to the fabric store and get some brown cloth that I can make into a sheath, even though I am going propless. Then all that remains is to cut a few more belt like objects and curves and I am done.
Now you may ask me why I am cursing my lack of time. Simply because I want this done, after all one week is not a lot of time. But I have other commitments. Such as tomorrow I am going to see Lewis Black, live, I spent $75 on that ticket trust me I am going. So there goes a portion of my day.... Ok so I have plenty of time afterwards. I just need to control my impulses to do other stuff, such as program or play video games.
Speaking of video games, I picked up a copy of Too Human and I must say that I am hooked. Granted I think I am halfway through the game already, the Graphics are early 360 at best, and the controls are evil. I am still hooked, I am interested to see where the story goes. Gratned I could just look up the story online. But I am really enjoying how the guys who wrote the game wrote it so that it could seem like it is an orignial sci-fi story. I like their various translations and stuff like that. And like I said the controls are evil. Now maybe I just do not play enough XBox action games, but this is the first time I have not had a control scheme, control character movement with one stick control camera with the other. No instead the control camera is not there and you control your aiming witht the other stick. It is mind numbingly hard to get used to, even though I have been playing it for a while now. Anyway I cannot say I would recommend this game to the common gamers of the world. The controls are pretty weird and there is really no local multiplayer. But if you are a real gamer this one might be one to pick up in the future.
Sorry to cut you off, my battery is dying and I am tired. Anyway, coding yes coding. I have not coded anything for this site since my last post. I really want to get this off the ground so I can start translating the code into PHP. Anyway I was working on a new database object. And my only comments on this are, it is very hard to work with these tables with more than two columns. Seriously it is a challenge... or maybe I am just out of practice. I cannot wait till I run into having to do joins. Anyway it was rather challenging making sure that I included all of the columns. Plus I still have to put a control in to force uniqueness, since I do not know how to do that on a database level, not that MySQL would know how to do that anyway. Plus I have to add some more functionality into the class as well. But on the upside, all the database modifying is done for that class.
Well once the cons are over I can probably commit more time to the making of this site, between preorders of course. I guess it just seems like there is so little time because the con is barreling down on me. Once my fear of damaged pride has been removed I think I can find time to calm down a bit. Anyway I had better get to updating the various pages I have. After all only five hours twenty minutes will I begin the day a new for work.
