Did you know that they decided to cram 3 separate archs into this show? I know it is weird right? They made this 24 episode long series. Which had more than enough time to have good clean archs in it. Yet they decided to focus on one arch and cramp the last two in at the end. Then they make time travel seem like it has an undo button. That is always nice to explain. Then there are a bunch of mystery powers that apparently exist.

I think I hate the story portion the most. Seriously, a good writer could have condensed what was useful information into seven or eight episodes and then transitioned right into the next arch. Not make the focus of the series be the quest from the Alpha line back to the Beta line. Then decide the beta line sucks so go onto the Stiens gate line. I mean why even bother cramming all that information into the last five or so episodes? Why not just set up a cliffhanger and wait for a season two. That would seem like the better thing to do. Not that there will probably be one. What with this being an XBox exclusive game. Maybe we could go back in time and make the game a PS3 game?

Lets talk about time travel for a bit. I guess that you can just undo whatever it is you originally did. with the push of a button right? Then everything returns to normal? Yes there were a couple times when it makes sense. However, most of the rest of them do not make sense. Plus then there is the whole message to the past thing that Okarin got from himself in the Beta line. I mean suffice it to say that if we jumped to the alpha line and back. Then the actions of the beta line would resume as planned. Still, it is kind of annoying. Kind of like SERN?

I really hate how a new bad guy appears. I mean I really really do hate that. You do not do that for just a short crammed arch. Why not make SERN, a super secret elite society of crazy rich people, be the bad guys all the way through. I mean it makes no sense. Not to mention it is boring. However, I guess it goes off of the idea that if certain events did not happen the SERN would have no reason to care.

I know I am nit-picking. Sorry for all you out there that is how you are a good critic. You find issues no matter how small. These are not horrible issues, but if you step back and be an ass hole they are kind of annoying. Then again, how many people really think about time travel to this degree? Even when watching a show about time travel?
