Seems He Is A God
This series is one of the more interesting ones I have encountered over the years. I have to say the first thing I liked about this one is that it is not covered in fan service. The most fan service you get is when Keima is trying to woo Kanon. Even then that is not really fan service. She is just dressed up in her cute idol clothes. I have found that very few animes these days do not try to stand on fan service. Over all I just liked the concept of the show.
After all it was a show about a guy who did nothing but play dating sims. How he used these skills to woo not one but four different females. How is that not amusing? However, the best part had to be Keima himself.
Really he is pretty close to the opposite of most guys who are like him. I am of course talking about Otakus. He had a very strong opinion of things. He was also very confident, and to a degree out-going. He is like the kind of guy most Otakus want to be. The personality he had gave him some pretty interesting, and insightful views of the world. He really is a god, a master of his own world and the world around him.
All in all I would have to say this anime is worth the watch. If for one reason, it is Keima. Rarely does a character like him find balance in the way he did. There were a lot of good messages in this anime. Hopefully, this anime will not fall to the way side in Japan. If enough otakus could get inspired by this anime, in time, that sub-culture in Japan could crawl out of the trash pit it has dug for itself.
