Well with the good comes the bad, is the philosophy of this section. I can definitely find some bad things about this anime. Stuff like how the jokes can get kind of stale after 50 episodes. Then there is the fact that it is very sitcommy. But the real down side to this series is the stale jokes.

Sorry but you can only make so many poop, spousal abuse, republican, retard... umm.. small boob... dead end job jokes in a series before you start becoming repetitive. Do not get me wrong there are many angles you can play. However, given the deomgraphic of the show, as being offensive, you need to keep that kind of thinking up. So chances are you will run out of jokes quickly. And it is no fun sitting around listening to the same jokes told over and over again with slight variations. But that is what happens with old sitcoms.

In the end Shin-chan is a sitcom. A fairly crappy one at that. I mean at least in most sitcoms the writers try to make a story. In this show you just get a few major historical events and that is it. What is worse is the throw back episdoes.

Yeah I have to say that I hated the episodes that came after the story arch. It is fine to keep old/new characters around. However, in the way of pretending the story never advanced. But like me people get writers block and start to think about all the funny shit they could have said before hand.
