Look At The Pretty Holes
So lets start off with the one that is most obvious too me. How come Fear gets to have a billion weapons? Seriously, I mean I understand that she is the embodiment of torture devices. However, she is the only multi-function cursed object in this series. Well I guess multi-tool cursed object. The rest of the devices all hold one form or object. Next, why do we only see Fear as a cube once? I mean that is the big thing with her. She is a cube, hence the rubix cube. So why does she not turn back into it ever? She just sort of becomes a girl and stays a girl. I do not know, that is just confusing to me. Plus why does she get to talk?
That is the one thing that confused me. When exactly does a cursed object get to take a human form? When does an object become self-aware. There were plenty of objects in this world. However, only a small few were aware of what they were. I guess that is that makes some sense. The sentient ones seemed to be more powerful. It is just confusing. Almost as confusing as the vanishing bad guys.
So why do all the bad guys say "Damn meddling kids NEXT TIME". Yet there never seems to be the next time. None of the bad guys who were part of groups ever died. Maimed yes, injured yes, crazy oh hell yeah. However, all of them survived their fights. It was like they failed to get the object and them decided that the objects were not worth it. What happened to the rest of these groups? I mean are they coming back if there is a season two? Or are they just going to vanish. None of these groups have been destroyed by any means. This is not some magical anime where the characters all transform and wear goofy costumes. Pretty much everyone knows where these objects are congregating. Plus they have many many more resources. So they could send people night and day to get these things.
That is the other thing that gets me. All the bad guy groups are super rich evil societies. Yet none of them really act like it. The one person shows up. They fight, they lose, and they vanish. You would think that these groups would keep coming. I mean this series is a treasure trove for them. There is no reason for them to ever let up. I mean these are just high school kids. It would not take much to take them out. Especially with all the girls fighting over the one guy.
So this series is full of holes. Plain and simple, not that I let details like this get in the way of my enjoyment of a series, but the holes are there. They can be annoying if you let them. However, that is the downside to a rich universe that gets crammed into 12 episodes.
