I think the main thing I like about this anime is the incredible amount of gore. It has been quite a while since I have seen an anime like this one. I think the most recent one was Elfen Lied. Where people are exploded and ripped to shreds while still a live. All the wonderful blood and gore. Even better is how epic fail the Saya is.

Seriously, I have never seen someone fail at being the hero so badly. I really think this is a first for me. For someone who is going to save everyone she does a terrible job. I mean never in an anime have I watched a hero just stand there and watch people die like that. Seriously she just sort of stands there. Waits until everyone is dead and then does something. I mean at least in other animes where the hero fails at life they try. Yes they fail but they fail while trying. Not Saya she fails and looks like an idiot doing it.

So we have gore and a hero who is fail. Yeah that makes this anime worth watching. Best part is there is no obnoxious amounts of random fan service. Seriously, there are a few scenes but for the most part this anime has no fan service. One more reason to watch it. Panties become a mystical item again.
